Abstract

Purpose: This study was conducted to histologically evaluate bone graft using autogenous tooth bone graft materials.

Materials and Methods: This study was conducted on patients who received implant placement combined with bone graft and sinus lifting during the period of June 2009 to September 2009. For patients who consented to histological testing, tissue samples were obtained and histomorphometric analysis was performed two months and four months after bone graft and four months after sinus bone graft.

Results: In histomorphometric analysis after two months and four months in both bone graft and sinus bone graft groups, favorable new bone formation was observed.

Conclusion: Autogenous tooth bone graft materials are substances that can be useful for bone graft procedures.
